𝓙oseph cast his stunned gaze toward green eyes, staring into them for some moments to be sure he had heard her correctly; he knew he hadn’t missed a single word, but she couldn’t be suggesting that he could do better or anything of the sort. He hoped that she knew just how bad he had wanted her to be his for all these years—growing up around the girl had it set in stone so long ago, that he could no longer think of his life as being filled with happiness if not for the love of his sisters best friend. She breathed hope into his entire outlook on existence and every single opportunity that was presented, he made sure she knew just how much she meant and what she had done for him over time, and he was sure she would continue to mend what was broken.
